Mommy Secrets

Poor Cracked Daddy. We've been stuck in the house all weekend, save for his runs to the grocery store, because EB is sick. Cracked Daddy is NOT one to just sit around. He must be doing something. All the time.
So, all of a sudden, he's on a cleaning spree. The dishes? Done. Laundry? Check.
And then he starts picking up EB's toys, which EB so carefully deposits between two different living rooms in our house. And this is where I have to smirk, because we moms know NOT to pick up ALL those toys until the end of the day when our precious darlings are asleep.
But he learns. Immediately after nap time, EB once again dumps his toy box and is back to depositing his toys all over the house. I hear Cracked Daddy mumbling something about how "he just cleaned that up and blah blah blah....."
It's hard to have sympathy, y'all. I do this everyday. So I smirk.
I'm so bad.

Good Evening Mandy,
I know what you mean about not picking up the kids toys until they are fast asleep. Been there done that way too many times before. My DH would never say anything if he found one of their toys because he knew I would pick it up at the end of the day. It's always so nice to have the Men to do things for us tho. But, I won't let anyone, and I do mean anyone, do my laundry. LOL. Nope, that is my department only. Now the girls will take things out of the dryer for me to fold up, but that's as far as I let them go with it. And I dare not let DH do any laundry. He told me that before he met me and had to do his own laundry, he would just thro everything together in one load. Nope, not this gal. LOL. That ain't the way you do laundry DH. Take care my friend and have a great evening. May God Bless You and Yours.
Hugs,
Karen H.
Too true! Great blog!
It is at times like this, I look at my dh and say "Welcome to my World!". In fact I say it so much it is the name of my blog :)
*smirks*
My partner does exactly the same - to the extent that he's too busy cleaning house to help me with baby. and if i even touch something that's just been cleaned....well needless to say it's the end of the world...
I would love you to be a contributor on my new blog - The Bad Mommy Blog (www.batchfoobadmommy.blogspot.com)

And they wonder what we do all day . . .
I hear ya! My hubby is anal and he is constantly cleaning up after our 2-yr-old as he plays. I used to try and stop him but now I just giggle and let him exhaust himself - whatever!
hahaha... I love it when they get just a taste of what we go through daily!
Men never learn...Papa Bear has been in training for 15 years...I would have been laughing myself.
YOu have been added to the Magnificent Mamas blogroll, and tagged.
I hear ya.... I have to laugh when I am gone for an hour and my husband calls me with distress in his voice "When will you be home?" and when I finally return he will be "so exhausted" he needs a break...... oh give ME a break! 1 hour? You couldn't handle one hour? LOL
He too, has complained about picking up the house and how they destroy it right behind him.... live and learn (or not!)
That is funny. Very cute post.
I just found your blog and I know I will be back.
I agree they really do wonder what we do all day. *smiling*
sooooooo true!
Even though my children are grown, I remember those days well. :)
Very very true...but I have to be honest. I often DO clean up during the day. I get so overwhelmed with all the stuff all over the floor. And I think they do too. For instance, they are much more excited to play with their craft stuff, if the craft stuff is put neatly away. When it is lying in a pile all over the table, they don't bother with it. Give them a cleaned up craft area, they are ready to go.
Also, naptime seems so much enjoyable when I am in my CLEAN quiet home. The clutter makes it hard to relax.
