You've Got Questions...Part 2

Now it's time for the second installment of You've Got Questions! I know, I know....try and contain your excitement. I cannot be held responsible for any coronary activity this post produces. No, seriously. Calm. Down.

I kid.

Trish asks....What CD are you listening to most right now?

Well, my car doesn't have a CD player. I know. I'm still in the dark ages. BUT. The tape we listen to most is Greg and Steve Playing Favorites. It's one of E.B.'s most favoritest collection of songs and that's the one I hear the most. Sadly.

What is the best vacation you have taken?

Oh, definitely St. George Island, Florida. The beaches are just pristine and awesome and the condos...man! But I've also had some really fun trips with my girlfriends before I was married.

Coast Rat asks...What's your favorite, down-home Mississippi food(s)?

Mmm. Chicken and dumplins, fresh vegetables cooked in lots of butter and bacon grease. No wonder Mississippi is the fattest state in the country!

MamaGeek asks...I want to know what's on your iPOD. What music do you love?

See, I don't even have an iPod! I am soooo out of it, people. But I do want one. But I love 80's music (especially Duran Duran. I heart them forever) And I also love 90's music. Pretty much everything except country.

And THEN I want to know what you love and dislike about blogging please! :)

I lurve writing. And I love that people actually give a hoot to come in here and read my thoughts. And the people...bloggers are the best! It's a fun way to interact with people and document our daily happenings.

What do I dislike about it? Sometimes it seems competitive. I know that sounds incredibly silly, but it does.

HRH asks...Why did you start blogging?

I started last summer when I decided to preschool homeschool E.B. It was a neat way to keep up with what we were doing and connect with other homeschoolers. And then I branched out beyond just homeschooling blogs and fell in love with mommy blogging. And here I am today!

Thank you all so much for the questions. This was so much fun and it definitely got me out of my writing slump!

That chicken and dumplings sounds soooo good, Mandy! Things I have learned to love from visiting in the delta, are: butter beans, purple hull peas, friend okra, friend chicken, sweet potato pie, hot cooked yams, fried and broiled catfish, BBQ anything, and the various greens cooked in and flavored with bacon fat and pieces of bacon! I had to learn to eat in moderation whenever I was eating this type of food at one of the homes here as a visiter; it is so good! And then there are the seafoods from down here on the coast: YUM!

Oh, I love love LOVE some chicken and dumplings! I'd make them every week if they weren't so time-intensive. I just love my southern food. I don't think I could handle living out of the South!

I completely agree about feeling competitive with blogging. It bothers me that I feel I have to keep up with the blogging Joneses when I only started my blog in the first place to put my thoughts down, share pictures with friends and family, and to meet a few people.

Thanks for answering! The tape I hear the most in the car is a VeggieTales pirate collection. St. George sounds beautiful too!

You are right; sometimes blogging does seem to get crazy competitive. That's usually when I tune out from the universe and just do my thing. It's easier living in my box.

Love all your answers!

Great answers.

No cd player in the car, and no ipod - what are we going to do with you! I think we may need some sort of intervention :)

Chicken and dumplings - never had it but it sounds delicious.
