Holiday Seasons

Don't get me wrong...I really am glad that Fall is here and 'tis the season for things like this:

But while looking through our holiday decorations last night, I kept seeing things that reminded me of this....

And as much as I love it all, it's a shame it all only gets displayed for such a short time each year.

I agree that is why we have a tradition of putting the tree up Thanksgiving weekend.

We feel the same way! However we found this great book that encourages and gives tips on how to make traditions through out the year. (which is great for me because I am not great at it) It is called Creating Family Traditions by Shirely Dobson. This way I am not so sad to see all the other decorations go back to the boxes...

No! No! Don't rush Christmas!
I can already feel the anxiety of present buying. My heart is racing and my fingers are just about forcing me to Amazon and just ordering the first thing I see just to be done.

AAAhhhhhhh!

I agree with you, Mandy. Way too much commercialism and not enough emphasis on what Christmas is really about.
